That's a good change. It was ridiculous to call "dead ball" when a bowler broke the wicket in his delivery stride because sometimes the batsman was penalised.
I don't understand change number 2. Why would they change the rules regarding batting with a runner if batsmen are no longer allowed runners?

www.espncricinfo.com/ci-icc/content/story/520924.html
The ICC's executive board has ratified the recommendations of the ICC Chief Executives' Committee :
including the abolition of runners,
the usage of new balls from each end in one-dayers,
and regulation of when the batting and bowling Powerplays can be taken.
In addition to approving the rule changes to ODIs ....................
Gina145 , appears that " runner " is only abolished in ODIs.

Nope. If you read the changes in the grey square, it clearly states: "No runners in international cricket". So maybe this new rule applies to domestic cricket.

The changes at a glance
- No runners in international cricket
- New balls from both ends in ODIs
- Batting and bowling Powerplays to be taken between overs 16 and 40
- Captains to be suspended after only two over-rate breaches in a year, as opposed to the existing three
- Batsmen can be dismissed obstructing the field if they change their course while running to prevent a run-out chance
- Bowlers will be allowed to run out a non-striker backing up un

No I'm not, though a career counsellor once told me to study law. Aside from the fact that I would never feel comfortable trying to help someone get away with a crime they were guilty of, I wouldn't have the confidence to argue their case in a court either. It's easy to say what I believe online, in real life not so much.
I looked for this because I was sure I hadn't seen any runners in test cricket lately.
