I keep hearing about religions and some ppl stating that they dont eat unscaled fish

anyone know why

I have heard that too....but I still don't know the reason why

my SIL converted to Islam when he was 16 yrs old and he was taught not to eat skin fish (unscaled fish)  or shrimps.

I eat both!

we should do some 'google' research and see if we find anything.

it is actually fish with scales or those without scales.

plus mostly scale less fish have  comparatively  higher level of mecury which in high level is toxic to body esp. kidney & nerves
