when i came to canada in '75.....they were very popular with the youngsters including hubby's 6yr old niece and his 2 young nephews.

they would watch this show every afternoon after school

and me...right off the boat used to sit and watch it with them ::

That was damn good show VB.  They re-ran that show on MuchMusic in the mid-90's and it became a favourite of mine.  I think the original ideas was for the fictional Monkeys band to be a parody of the Beatles.  But the young females took to the baby faced Davy Jones and the record company exects saw lot of these $$$ and pushed them to becoming a real band.
