With the frosty temps comes the snow.
Environment Canada
has issued a special weather statement for the GTA, predicting several centimetres of snow and high winds Sunday afternoon into Monday.
It will stay cold, with a temperature around -10C and a high of -2C.
Winds gusting between 30 and 60km/hr combined with blowing snow could prove hazardous for drivers, who are advised to take extra care and time out on the roads.
The first big snowfall of the season always tends to slow things down considerably.
Areas also affected in the statement are Niagara, Hamilton, Peel, York Durham and Grey Bruce, Barrie, Orillia and Midland.
Environment Canada says accumulation of up to 60 centimetres is likely by mid-week.
