a flowering shrub native to the Horn of Africa and Arabian peninsula...

are banned in Canada :

But in khat leaves are not ..........

It is chewed mainly by men in khat houses known as mafrishes,

though there is anecdotal evidence of growing use by teenagers and women :cool:
