The pi reference was awesome. I remembered one of my uncles telling me about ancient India and the atomic bomb. Apparently, some where in India they have discovered a place where the radiation levels are off the chart. But it's also an archaeological site thousands of years old where legend says it was destroyed by the most powerful weapon, as powerful as the Gods themselves. Very interesting stuff.

Astonishing that the ancient Hindus postulated the theory of infinite big bangs instead of just one, which is the current explanation of western physicists of the universe. With the discovery of the big bang, that at one point all that existed was a singularity, then the big bang, and that the universe is still expanding from that big bang came the realization that at some point everything will cease expanding and will contract back to the singularity and then another big bang. How the ancient Hindus came to this exact same theory of an oscillating universe we will never know but the fact that they did is simply incredible.

Hey Kwami, do you know about the Dogon tribe of Africa? When western peoples first made contact with them they witnessed what to them were bizarre rituals regarding a star, Sirius and it's dwarf Sirius B. This star was then discovered by astronomers and then later they discovered its dwarf. How the Dogon knew of the existence of Sirius and its dwarf before the discovery of both by modern astronomy is a complete mystery.

Sirius is a bright star, but it's two dwarfs, Sirius A and B, are so dim you need a very very power electronic telescope to see it. It's incredible that the Dogons knew of the existence of the 2 dwarfs without the benefit of powerful modern telescopes.
