Merry Christmas!

This is the first christmas we have spent without our parents/family. I managed to make

Beef Pepperpot With the proper homemade Guyana bread!
Lamb Curry
Peas Pilau
Roti/Dhalpuri
Turkey dinner with all the fixings

Just like my mom would have made.

We sold our condo last Aug/Sept and bought a house in Alberta - We left Ontario and moved here in October!

So far the place is cold tuh rass! Everyday for the past month it has been -36 to -40 with a lot of snow. they dont use salt here as it doesnt work at these temps but they use sand. This is totally unprecedented for where we are (hasnt happened in 20 years) and lucky us this is what we were greeted with :) :) :)

but so far we love it here.
