On April 9, President Biden fulfilled a campaign promise by appointing a presidential commission on Supreme Court reform. In doing so, he responded to escalating calls from liberal Democrats to do something about a court they see as likely to hamstring the Democrats’ legislative agenda — and who feel that Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans wrongfully denied them at least one, if not two, Supreme Court appointments. Most calls for reform have suggested expanding the number of justices on the court, which would allow Biden to appoint more justices himself. But reformers have also suggested term limits and jurisdiction stripping — that is, removing some issues from the court’s reach altogether.

BREAKING overnight in 🇹🇹 Trinidad: Guyanese-born LGBTQ fashion designer/cosmetologist Anthony Singh, 28, was found lying in a pool of blood last night in his room. He was clad only in his underwear according to reports coming out of the twin-island republic and his body bore several stab wounds. Singh, originally from Georgetown, migrated to Trinidad a few years ago. So far there in 2021 there have been 92 murders in Trinidad, 25 alone in January.

Referring to the GPL under the previous gov't , Guyana's President Irfan Ali implied that lack of maintenance is the cause of current blackouts. So what was the cause of blackouts under the PPP from 1992 to 2015? Yes it was inherited from the pre-1992 PNC gov't but surely almost a quarter of a century was more than enough time to have rectified it? Or did the PPP then also engaged in non-maintenance?
