since I saw this above here I have been looking over the net for related info.  wat I have seen is shocking!  are they trying to destroy the family.

and I had no Idea that Russia, Israel, Brazil, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, supposedly China and France, Luxemborg, Ivory Coast*, Argentina, Belgium and Japan..are countries where incest is legal or otherswise not prohibited

and in even more countries such as Switzerland, Romania, Croatia etc., legalisation of incest is in progress.

so the next taboo is already out on the streets.  wats to happen to the good old nuclear family..and the extended one?

I doh know.  I did not see the episode, dont know the series.  jess saw mention of it and went into it.

is this a deliberately stoked devlopment...this incest thing...an issue of  manipulaton by the new world order, seeking to render humanity easier to control by destroying grounding moral principle... 

or is it happening as a natural issue among the people..an issue whose time has come?

so wat dangers does the future contain if this development goes all the way through...lots of 2-headed human beings?

dat may be true.  but the episode does occur against a backdrop of a load of incest seemingly everywhere, from porn to the courts, to even-handed discussions where one least expects..in learned circles etc.

I dont know wat gives as i said...whether it is a conspiracy against the people as some allege..or a natural development.

all taboos are rooted in trauma, and trauma as the unrecognizable return of the repressed always comes back to haunt individuals or society.

as mass phenomena it always comes back at points of social breakdown...i.e at the the point of pasage from old to new ways or social organisation. 

the old established way has failed, there is generalised social breakdown, all the old principles, morality and standards breakdown, all is questioned.  new ways must be gleaned and a new, workable status quo established.

in the meantime the traumas as general social phenomena or mass psychology come back, obsessional, widespread and must be understood and cleared up, for sanity to be achieved and society can go on.

the incest taboo must have been established with violence, in previous social breakdown and a change from general social promiscuity to one of the sexual restriction...especially of the woman.

my assessment suggests the incest taboo was instituted during the breakdown of original matrilineal society and passage to male domninated society... the  fatherhood.

with the rise of the fatherhood man had to know who his children were.  there cud be no fatherhood if a man did not know his children and inheritance passed along that way.

so inheritance passed from the mothers brother..uncle..to the father.

previously that is what it was..for in general promiscuity everyone knew who a womans children were..but not who the father was.  so if an uncle did not know who his children were better to give it to his sisters children whom he knew to be her children.

so the pasage from the motherhood to the fatherhood was revolutionary change, protracted and prolly very violent. and the result was a heap of sexual limitations on society, especially onto women, who were dethroned as the dominant gender and made virtually chattell, complete with chastity belts

so if the current incest surge is a natural develoment,  it might best be seen within the parameters of mass psychology and a need to get to the bottom of a historical issue with a view to resetting modern social 'problems'

yet incest can be all that and still be a manipulation of society by the status quo...much like the womans lib movement.

it there are historical issues in society that must be resolved, those watching can know when an issues has ripened and due burst on society in search of resolution.

such an issue at an early point can be precipitated and led in whatever direction the status quo desires.

it is possible that such movement and manipulation may be part of this seemingly rising social issue
