I like to grow food in canada..especially corn.

this year I found a nice organic, non-GMO corn that I focused in a lil space in my daughters yard, turned up the soil, mixed in manure to suit, a cow manure, lawn grass mixture I pile into another corner last year and let rot good.

I doan use any chemical on the law so the grass I cut is good to make manure with no poison.

man dat manure worked like a charm..the corn ate well and there was enuff nutrient to produce wonderfully in a lil two by two space.

dat is wat I do.collect all the food waste from my house and hers, buy black earth and make compost. the black earth they sell is a waste..dry and dead. to make it live you have to make comport with it.

the god dam lawn for example dried out all the time and die. you have to keep wetting it all the time fuh it to live.

you wud think it wud live on its god dam own given all the money the house cost. what I did was to make that same compost and keep feeding the lawn from on top. I spread the compost on top the lawn..a little at a time..and over a year and and half I had achieved a bed under the grass that was absorbent and held water..so that it did not dry out

the problem is that she and her husband are very busy with careers and I don't live nearby...so the lawn that the builders made dried out and the grass died. I go there once every 2-3 weeks so I had to figure out a way to save the lawn.

the lawns are laid on a tractor base of poor soils that does not hold moisture, that is what you have to solve... and if you don't want to remove the whole lawn and put in a organic base and re-lay the lawn... you have to feed from on top for a good while until you create an organic base that holds moisture...

you don't have to bother about watering the lawn all the time if you do that. and you would need to create your own quality manure because what they sell in the shops and the big producers who sell by the yard is no good.

so I got a lot of delicious corm this year from a tiny plot. i also grew some cherry tomatoes that is wonderful..a variety that gives a bigger cherry and very sweet. I flooded the place with just 3 vines...so much that they fall and rot before I get there.

its wonderful to grow food in Canada. the soil is good there is plenty of water and if you know what you are doing you do not need any artificial chemical input at all. but the season is short and just like dat its wintah again. man dat pisses me off roundly.

and there is too much pollution overall in Canada..absolutely too much

there is a word of things I want to try..to produce and keep things fecund indefinitely..no waste, no poisons and max production for good health..for those who eat the food and the eco out of which it came. if I get lottery...that is lucky and lottery at the same time... I am gone to some place that is warm all the time..doh have too many white people and I can do my thing
