Khemraj RamjattanLeaders of the Alliance for Change (AFC) today outlined some their plans for the future of on Benschop Radio where they answered questions from host Mark Benschop and Guyanese listening in from all parts of the world.
The AFC stated that in their strive to change the voting patterns in Guyana they have seen success in this elections and many of the expected Amerindians did not turn out to vote for the party. Ramjattan thanked voters for coming out at a point where he claims that past president Bharrat Jagdeo nastiness got worst and stated that the AFC will forcefully use their 7 seats to ensure equitable distribution of wealth in Guyana.
They party leaders stated that the requests for the official statement of poll by the APNU was fair and in a meeting with President Ramotar and Roger Luncheon along with the elections chairman they insisted that the SOP be handed out in which Luncheon agreed but President Ramotar disagreed.
Party presidential candidate Khemraj Ramjattan said that in their meeting with the PPP/C no one tried to strike a deal since they made it clear that “no offers will be accepted unless the APNU leadership is present and includedâ€.
Among the tasks that the AFC hope to get accomplished is the reduction of the Value Added Tax (VAT) and reduce the exorbitant pension scheme that President Jagdeo made for himself upon exiting the presidency. They proposed that Jagdeo should have no more than a million dollars a month (US$5,000) which he can only start claiming when he is of the age of 55 like the rest of the Guyanese people.

See, rangatang thought that he was going to be the leader of the ppp...but then Jags come and swept the rug from under his feet...so since then he has hated, hated Jags, and seeks every opportunity to get back for perceived transgressions. Poor rangatang needs some bamboo.
