That country is azz backwards...and the ppp look for what it gets. Expediency and efficiency is in short supply. This will embolden the opposition to spread unscrupulous rumors and agitate an already kindling opposition. And then the innocent people will have to bear the brunt of it all. The modus-operandi of the opposition is well known....when will these jackasses learn??? When???? For their stupidity, they should be out of office. I mean, when will they really learn??? This is now legendary!!!!

PPP/C calls for immediate release of preliminary resultsNovember 30, 2011 | By KNews | Filed Under News  


The People’s Progressive Party/Civic in a statement last evening called on the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) to make public immediately, or as soon as possible, preliminary results of the 2011 General and Regional Elections.
“The PPP/C feels that such declaration would dissipate the disquiet that has seemingly engulfed Guyanese as they anxiously await the election results.
Further, the PPP/C wishes to reiterate that its call for a recount of ballots in some polling areas must not be misconstrued as an attempt to interrupt or delay the ongoing counting process and declaration of results.
The PPP/C requested a meeting with the Chairman of GECOM, Dr. Steve Surujbally, last night in an effort to encourage the commission to announce the preliminary results in the interest of all.
“It is the PPP/C fervent wish that GECOM will consider the severity of the situation and take appropriate action. The PPP/C calls on all Guyanese to remain calm and exercise patience as they await the results of the elections.”
