just this weekend i learned that there are actual islamic schools in the GTA - specifically there is one in Oakville. it costs around 700-800$/student and they go all the way up through high school.
Yes i know i am behind the times that i didnt know about this....
would you let your child go to an islamic school vs the regular school system?

i believe in the regular school system. i would want a child to be open to all teachings rather than a set beliefs.

I checked it out .Very well organised and very qualified teachers.
Here in my Borough there is a waiting List to get in.
Kids have to go public school until a spot opens.

teach your child religion or your beliefs at home. leave religion out of the schools.

what parents dont understand is behind the hijabs and the beards....students want to break out and experience life ...the baggy pants, the short skirts....parties etc.

Children need some controls.
Public School is not the answer..
disclaimer : all my kids are uni graduates from the Public school system.
BUT I was a very attentive Parent/Headmaster/Principal

Chair , the uni courses on World Religions are simply awesome.
I ensured the kid did it for their own personal education.
