Where does Jamaica, West Indies, Guyana get their fresh water from ? Underground ? Aren't they surrounded by the ocean. I have to look at a map. Narendra Modi, former minister of Gujarat, and now PM of India, built a dam that made water available to most people in our state. Much of it come from the Himalayas. But also we get it from deep underground.

In Guyana, there are quite a few Lakes:
Capoey Lake in an Amerindian village in Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam),
Tapakuma Lake, Calabash Lake and Hot and Cold Lake near Suddie,
One of the largest of these on the Essequibo River is Mainstay Lake
