lets say your workplace has an internal posting....
the requirements state that a certain designation is a "Must"
would you still apply?

well they may take your strongest assets to the company into consideration... go for it...
what's the requirement that you don't have?
AND IF YOU GET AN interview... talk about that requirment and tell them you looking into it and you thriving to get it asap

oh this is not me - i apply for any and everything regardless.
but what happened here is we had an opening for a position that requested the candidate to have a certain designation - yesterday it was announced that they hired someone without that designation...but it clearly stated in the posting that the person MUST have the designation....anyways the dude they hired has no healthcare experience period.
I dont know why management did that - but whatever...
ANYWAYS the lady here is upset because she was overlooked for that position. she feels that she could have applied it the MUST designation was not there. Now she feels bad because they hired someone who has no background at all - she feels like chump.
yesterday i was equally as mad bc i thought "how could management do this and overlook our internal ppl?"
she vented to me yesterday and noted that it wasnt fair
While i agree with her 100% - i cannot agree with her to be pissed off at my boss because of this - i still have to work and i still have a job to do.
