C-section should be......
after 23hrs of hard labour, the doctor says
'the baby is in distress'
"you have only dilated 5cm"
"we must get this baby out"
you hold on to hubby and cry and cry and cry......because you don't want c-section because you are so scared of the surgery
you want to have this baby naturally
but....they knock you out and delivery baby by c-section....and you slept for 24hrs straight and didn't see your baby until she was more than a day old

nothing shameful or embarassing about it
it was a 'life and death' situation.......no choice
my gorgeous daughter is now 35yrs old.....and I am so blessed to have her in my life
she has now given me my two loves (grandsons)
what more can a woman ask for?

Where are you people getting your info from. My niece had a C-Section, the cut is hairline and so tiny that she wears a bikini and you cannot see the cut. My friend had C-Section for her twins and she was awake for the entire procedure and had no drugs not even anesthesia. Back in the days that was so painful and difficult now it is so easy. They kick your ass out of the hospital within 72 hours of a C-section. My niece and my friend did not find it painful nor were they out of it for any reason. They saw the baby the minute it was born, right after the father cut the umbilical cord. Major operations are now so simple, a hysterectomy they kick your ass out the same day, no cuts, a total removal of the cervix is an overnight stay in the hospital, the kick you out the next morning. with the C-Section friend and niece they were up and about the minute they came home and had no pain or discomfort other than child birth discomforts. Get with the times!!!

YUP...even back in the days, you had the options to be put asleep or be awake for the entire C-Section procedure, my high school teacher from dankey years was awake when she had a C-Section for her daughter who is 30 now...
